HeatLoadHQ provides free home-energy calculators. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and your rights.

What we collect

All calculators run entirely in your browser. No calculation inputs or results are ever sent to our servers. We do not collect names, email addresses, or any other personally identifying information.

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site: which pages are visited, how long sessions last, what devices and browsers are used, and general geographic region. This data is anonymous and is sent to Google's servers.

Cookies

We use cookies placed by Google Analytics (_ga, _gid, _ga_*). The _ga cookie expires after 13 months; _gid expires after 24 hours. We do not place any other cookies.

We show a brief notice about analytics on your first visit. If you prefer not to be measured, you can opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout) or by enabling Do Not Track in your browser.

Legal basis for EEA and UK visitors

For visitors in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, our legal basis for analytics is our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) in measuring and improving the site, weighed against your privacy. The data is anonymous, and you can opt out at any time using the methods above.

Third parties

We share anonymous analytics data with Google (Google Analytics). We do not sell personal data to any third party.

We plan to serve ads through Google AdSense in the future. This policy will be updated before any ad code is added to the site.
